About FAST Expo
Future of Air & Space Technology (FAST) Expo transforms Parcul Feroviarilor and Pavilionul Tinerilor in Cluj-Napoca into a hub of innovation, science, and space exploration. Organized by ROSPIN (Romanian Space Initiative) through the ROSPIN Cluj branch, the event brings the public closer to STEAM fields through an interactive exhibition with scientific and technological demonstrations, with a special focus on the space and aerospace sector.
From 11:00 to 20:00, participants will discover space and aerospace opportunities through ROSPIN, explore robot-building with local FIRST Tech Challenge teams, learn about sustainable mobility with the SOLIS solar car and ART TU Formula Student, and see how satellite data is transforming agriculture with CO2 Angels. Tech companies, educational hubs, student communities, research teams, and cultural organizations all come together for a unique experience.
A central component of the event is the series of Lightning Talks (12:00-18:00) in Pavilionul Tinerilor, where professionals from the space and tech sector cover topics from meteorite analysis to satellite applications and AI. The event also features astronomical observations, astrophotography exhibitions, and hands-on experiments in biology, physics, and computer science — all free and open to everyone!

SPACE RUN - 5KM Cross
Start the day like an astronaut!
The day kicks off with SPACE RUN by ROSPIN — a 5KM cross run through Parcul Feroviarilor starting at 09:00. Before the start, runners will experience a special warm-up inspired by the official "Train Like an Astronaut" program developed by NASA and ESA.

Good news: you are still welcome to join the run! You can run alongside us with your own gear, but we can no longer provide a participant kit. Participants without a kit will still receive a race number on site.
We also invite you to discover the full FAST Expo Cluj-Napoca 2026 experience, open to the public from 11:00 to 20:00 — a day full of science, technology, and interactive activities!
